Karunanidhi was born in Thirukkuvalai village of Tamil Nadu. Very few people know that his original name is Dakshinamurthy. Mr. Karunanidhi was inspired from Azhagiriswamy. Azhagiriswamy was a pillar of the justice party at that period of that time.

First active protest of DMK chief is his agitation on Kallakudi protest where he and his supporters removed the controversial name “Dalmiapuram” which sounds North Indian, hence he and his supporters. At the age of 33 years, he became the Member of the legislative assembly in Tamil Nadu state. After becoming Member of the legislative assembly he never looks back he became the treasurer. After Death of Annadurai as well as Periyar he became the face of his political party DMK as well as Politics of Tamil Nadu. Mr. Karunanidhi became the chief minister after the death of Annadurai till today he is the most powerful person in the Tamil Nadu Politics.
